Who we are and what this covers

Information collected automatically when you visit
IP address · browser and device type · operating system · pages viewed and time on them · the site or search that referred you · general location (city or region, from IP) · interactions with the site such as searches and cart activity.
What we don’t collect: we don’t ask for and don’t want your Social Security number, driver’s licence, or any government ID. We don’t collect information about your health, religion, politics, or biometrics. We don’t knowingly collect anything from anyone under 18.
Where the information comes from
Directly from you, automatically from your device when you use the site, and from our payment processor (confirmation that a payment succeeded or failed — not your full card number). We don’t buy personal information from data brokers.
How we use it
- To sell and deliver your safe — process the order, take payment, arrange freight, schedule delivery, and keep you informed
- To support you — answer questions, provide advice, handle returns, damage claims, and warranty questions
- To run and improve the site — diagnose problems, understand which pages are useful, keep the site secure
- To meet legal obligations — tax records, accounting, fraud prevention
- For marketing — to show relevant ads and, if you’ve asked for them, send emails. You can opt out of both (see Your rights)

About Google Ads. We use Google Ads, including remarketing. This involves sharing information about your visit with Google so that ads can be targeted. Some US state privacy laws treat this kind of advertising data-sharing as a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, even though no money changes hands and we receive no payment for your data.
We’d rather tell you that plainly than hide behind a technicality. You can opt out — see Your rights — and you can also use Google’s own Ads Settings and the Google Analytics opt-out.
If our business is sold or merged, personal information may transfer as part of it. We’d tell you.
We do not sell your personal information
We do not sell personal information for money, and we never sell sensitive personal information under any circumstances.
The advertising sharing described above is the one activity that some state laws classify as a “sale” or “sharing,” and you can opt out of it.

We may keep information longer where the law requires it or where it’s needed for a live dispute.
Your rights
Wherever you live in the US, we’ll honor these requests:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and how we’ve used it
- Get a copy in a portable format
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Delete your information, subject to records we’re legally required to keep (order records, for example)
- Opt out of targeted advertising and of any sharing that counts as a “sale” under your state’s law
- Opt out of marketing emails, any time, via the unsubscribe link or by emailing us
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these. Our prices and service don’t change because you asked
Appeal. If we decline a request, we’ll tell you why, and you can appeal by replying to our decision or emailing info@alpinesafes.com with “Appeal” in the subject. A different person reviews it and responds.
Depending on your state, you may have further rights. Ask and we’ll tell you what applies.
How to exercise your rights

Tell us what you want us to do and give us enough information to find your records — usually the name, email address, and order number used for your purchase. We may ask you to confirm a detail only you’d know; that’s to make sure we don’t hand your information to someone else.
We respond within 45 days. If a request is complex we may need longer, and we’ll tell you before the 45 days is up. It’s free, unless a request is repetitive or excessive, in which case we’ll tell you before doing anything.
An authorized agent may make a request for you. We’ll need proof you authorized them.
Keeping information secure
The site runs over HTTPS, card details go directly to our payment processor and aren’t stored on our systems, access to customer records is limited to people who need it, and we keep our platform patched and monitored.
No system is perfectly secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security — anyone who tells you otherwise is overselling. If a breach ever affected your information, we’d notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. We use them, and similar technologies like pixels and tags, in four categories:

- Your browser can block or delete cookies. Every major browser has this in settings, and you can usually block third-party cookies while keeping the site working

We don’t use a cookie consent pop-up. US law doesn’t require one, and we’d rather explain what we use here than interrupt you with a banner. If you’d prefer we didn’t use analytics or advertising cookies for you, tell us and we’ll act on it.
Browser privacy signals
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control (GPC) setting that signals a preference not to be tracked.
We are working toward automatically recognizing the GPC signal, and we don’t yet do so reliably. We’d rather tell you that than claim a capability we haven’t finished building.
In the meantime, email info@alpinesafes.com and we’ll apply your opt-out manually. We’ll honor it the same way, and we’ll update this section as soon as automatic recognition is in place.
Children
This site is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and we don’t advertise to anyone we know or reasonably should know is under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We’ll update this page when our practices change, and the effective date at the top tells you which version you’re reading. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
